workshop for interior design students
This workshop was unique in three ways. It was the first time that I ran a four-day workshop spanning two successive weekends.
Although the process of building a narrative involves diverse iterations, this workshop actually ended with with two distinct narratives using almost the same set of theatrical strands of individual stories.
The collective collage created by this talented group of budding interior architects is one of the most vibrant & intense works evolved through the nearly decade long run of this workshop series.
The group followed a gradual pace with intensity to complete all the processes: from discovering the archaeological remnants of their home of memories, to translating nodes from their stories into graphic forms, to creating a collage from these fragments and eventually offering their collages & participation to create a large emotive tapestry of memories & desires.
I am thankful to the participants – Bhushan Reddy, Himal Pandita, Karan Kapoor, Mansi Almadi, Sarvam Narang & Shambhavi Gautam – for the wonderful experience.
