Cept Pavilion: exhibition

“Just Give me a Box”
The 5mt X 6mt stall for CEPT University was part of the education pavilion in Vibrant Gujarat summit. The design evolved from the idea of replicating the sense of porosity, openness and robustness in the architecture of the CEPT campus. Equally important were considerations of the budget, a very short time-line and the necessity of quick assembly – all inevitable conditions of any exhibition event. The final design consisted of self stable configuration made up of varying components: structural boxes in plywood, back-lit acrylic panels for display and wooden lattice panels framing the display above and below. The main exhibition walls holding the closed edges carried this articulation, which was modified to create an identity obelisk and another publication rack on the open edges of the pavilion.
