Elective – 2012, cept university, ahmedabad
This was the fourth workshop session & the second as a semester-long once-a-week elective at CEPT. The first round had created a good buzz about the workshop, leading to more than forty applicants for the elective. Not only did I have to unkindly shortlist the participants to only the apparently open students, but I also had to run the elective in two parallel batches. Both batches came together to create a vast city collage for the concluding session of the elective.
The engagement being once a week, I didn’t explore much in terms of theater. Not only did the participants have limited theater skills, I too was ill equipped as a tutor for short & far-spaced sessions in drama. I relied more on my skills in visual mediums to initiate sessions & sustain the intensity of participants’ engagement through each session. While some wonderful drawings were created for the twilight & mapping exercises, the individual collages bringing together archaeology & site are among the best over the years.
I am thankful to the following participants for the wonderful experience: abhishek mandalia, Apeksha Agrawal, apoorva sharma, Ashna Patel, Bulbul Vyas, caleb ferro, chandani, darshini shah, Gunjan Modi, JANKI VYAS, MANSI MISTRY, Maulik Parmar, MINAL ARYA, Mittul Sindhav, mrinal bhatt, Muntaha Rushnaiwala, Parizad Baria, POOJA BRAHMBHATT, PRAFUL PANCHAL, Purvi Tank, Ranu Singh, Riddhi Panchal, RINI singhvi, Sejal Vasani, shreeja jhaveri, Sunaina Shah & Vaissnavi Shukl
