This short workshop followed the typical structure & sequence of starting with the textual representation of an episode from memory, translating three of its critical nodes into a graphic form, discovering the archaeological remnants of the home of one’s memories in a block of thermocol, using the graphic & craved fragments to create a collage of their narrative and finally bringing the three individual collages together into one large collage.
The critical nodes of the narrative were also translated into theatrical images and subsequently developed into performed narratives.
This workshop was unique for the smallest number of participants that I’ve ever worked with in an engagement. Further, all three professionals – one visual artist and two architects – are my contemporaries.
I am thankful to the participants – Rahul Sen, Roohan Segel & Sukhmani Brar for the wonderful experience.
