The design of the website for architect Kamal Mangal Das deals primarily with his spatial design projects across categories of residence, industrial, housing & other.

Each project opened with an introductory plate that carries images of the built work in the main field of the canvas, a sample drawing in the right hand panel and a note at the bottom.

The home page uses one of Kamal bhai’s graphics as the background image providing a grid to nest the thumbnails of all the projects. A recurring structural principal across all my designs, the viewer can choose between a visual or a textual navigation mode or switch between the two. The flexibility offers visitors a sense of participation in the engagement.

Within projects too thumbnails of images & drawings which present an enlarges image below in the navigation panel as the cursor hovers only to open in the center-screen if the visitor clicks.

Retiring after nearly six decades of practice, Kamal bhai donated his drawings to the CEPT Archives. The website is still accessible as a window to the vast volume of work.
