butterfly
The six poems in this collection, published first on Facebook in 2010, strung together through the thread of the individual, present the first volume of my poems on the self.
They carry contemplations on the necessity of metamorphosis, memory, self-reliance and multiple perspectives
butterfly
there isn’t a bit of doubt my friend
that the caterpillar has to meet its end
so the world sees joy in a butterfly
‘m filled to the brim in longing, ‘m about to fly
between shadows
often the clouds are just too dark
often the sliver is not just a line
often i forget my strengths when ‘am sad
or fail to see a shadow beneath the shine
