varietea: restaurant interior

The design emerged in response to three primary challenges: need for a dense layout which could satisfy the varied seating and functional requirements in the small floor space available, translation of client’s ‘images’ and ‘themes’ into meaningful elements and a rather short time frame for the execution. The choice of materials and articulation of elements was guided by the need to impart a ‘warm’ and ‘soft’ character to the interior. Attention was paid to the treatment of surfaces, including the furniture, fabrics and furnishing and also to the nature of artificial lighting, and emphasis was laid on consistency in detailing of elements.
